Designed Like a Stateroom
Storage became a defining design opportunity.
In the primary bedroom, every elevation was custom designed to function with purpose, like a stateroom on a yacht. Integrated storage is concealed beneath the bed platform, below the window seat, and throughout the room, allowing the space to feel calm and uncluttered.
This same thinking continues across the home, from window seating in the living room to cabinetry that extends from the kitchen into the dining area, creating seamless function without visual weight.
Light, Material, and Precision
The renovation balances precision with softness. Frameless entry doors blend into the walls, while the stair was redesigned with integrated handrails, concealed lighting, and a vertical light element that adds a quiet architectural rhythm. In the powder room, layered plaster walls, a floating stone counter, and a seamless mirror create a focused, sculptural moment.
The open kitchen, dining, and living areas are designed for both daily life and entertaining. Custom millwork, wide-plank oak flooring, and a restrained material palette create continuity, while expansive west-facing windows frame Hudson River views.
Upstairs, the primary suite extends this calm sensibility with a private terrace and a bath wrapped entirely in ocean blue travertine. Throughout, carved stone and clean millwork are softened by tactile materials, creating a home that feels both composed and lived in.
