The Art Compendium
The hotel’s art gallery, known as the Hangar One Art Compendium, serves as an integral part of the guest experience. Curated as a narrative of duality and connection, the collection explores intersections between nature and innovation, science and imagination. These dynamic works span digital media, sculpture, painting, and photography.
Each piece reinterprets the natural and cosmic world through a contemporary lens, echoing the region’s creative spirit. Within BAMO’s interiors, this layered gallery experience complements the architectural language and adds depth, vibrancy, and a sense of wonder to the public spaces.
BAMO’s design approach prioritized balance: expansive but inviting, tech-forward but grounded in craft. The lobby unfolds as a series of vignettes where sculptural furnishings, custom walnut screens, and layered textiles shape spaces for both gathering and retreat. Rich materials like black granite, live-edge wood, and blue fireclay tile add depth and tactility while supporting ease of movement and use.
Roger Bar, a social focal point, blends California’s casual spirit with subtle aerospace nods. Oversized garage doors open to the outdoors, and warm woods, dark steel, and tailored upholstery shift effortlessly from day to night.
In the Wellness Wing, calming palettes, tactile finishes, and integrated in-room fitness features promote holistic comfort. Every design element, from lighting and layout to materials and technology, was selected to foster an intuitive, elevated guest experience.
