Light and warmth permeate The Peninsula Chicago’s interiors. Art Deco in style, public spaces throughout are gracefully proportioned. Rich gold, cream, and brown tones are layered in a sophisticated palette that reflects the locale while also paying subtle homage to Peninsula’s flagship property in Hong Kong.
Guests enter the hotel from tony E. Superior Street. The tone is immediately set with a backlit feature wall in amber and green architectural glass by artist Paul Housberg. An elevator ride to the 5th floor, delivers guests to the hotel lobby, with a shallow vaulted ceiling and Murano glass light fixtures. Refinement continues through the public areas, including restaurants, bar, spa and meeting rooms. Art throughout the hotel is decidedly modern and includes pieces by Martha Diamond, Ju Ming, Sol Le Witt, and Le Corbusier.
