“Much of the same team behind the Rosewood Sand Hill has been assembled to craft The Ameswell Hotel as a more sophisticated alternative to what exists in Silicon Valley. Not only do we want the hotel to serve both leisure and business travelers, The Ameswell Hotel will be an ‘after work’ destination for those who live and work in Mountain View and the greater community.”

Tech innovation and the wonder of California landscapes steer the sleek new independent concept. Among the hotel’s key influences were the nearby NASA Ames Research Center as well as the artwork of German artist Kurt Schwitters, the latter of which informed the materiality. Guestrooms are clad with floor-to-ceiling windows that illuminate statement wallcoverings, notes of poppy orange, and rich black walnut finishes. The materials and color palette instill a casual flair and a sense of place.
Detail and craftsmanship punctuate the space via custom-designed lighting and locally handcrafted blue fireclay tile featured in the bathrooms, while design of the custom desks is inspired by an airplane wing. Every room features integrated technology and custom touches to remind you where you are, the global center for innovation and creativity.
