“The river is the cultural and historical lifeblood of Bangkok, and we wanted to capture the tension between this slow-motion dreamscape and the chaotic, frenetic atmosphere elsewhere in the city.”

For the Capella Hotel Bangkok, Country Group and BAMO’s aesthetic vision was inspired by the significance of the site in Bangkok’s history and its prime location on the “River of Kings.” Consequently, the design reflects the multicultural flavor of the district while paying subtle homage to traditional Thai architectural elements and decorative motifs.
In the Lobby and Living Room a sophisticated palette of rich, dark woods, warm neutral upholstery, and luxurious metals create an ideal setting for taking in the all-important view while mingling with Bangkok’s elite. The hotel can boast that all guestrooms, suites, and villas will have equally fantastic, floor-to-ceiling views of the river, creating a private oases in a contemporary classic style that are a refuge from the bustling city.
