“Although the project was originally designed 15 years ago, because BAMO continually reviewed and restudied the interior design, (we’re) very happy with the fine project in Kobe. It has contemporary style and matches with (a) modern lifestyle. It is no exaggeration to say that HCM’s success was brought by BAMO’s excellent interior design.”

Sun City Tower Kobe has a spectacular natural setting, nestled between majestic Mr. Rokko to the north and Osaka Bay to the south. This 33-story luxury residential tower provides accommodations and amenities for Japan’s aging population.
Developed in tandem with the building and landscape design, the concept was to create a “peaceful harbor” for those within its walls and gardens – a place of tranquility and comfort, beauty and serenity. This concept drives the selection of interior materials, colors, and atmosphere. We created a light, natural feel at ground level to reflect the seaside location and history, emphasizing interior garden views. White oak walls, limestone pavers, pale fabrics, and custom rugs and lighting accentuate the light-filled setting.
Ascending the tower, materials and colors become darker and more formal, with emphasis on panoramic views of the city. Carefully detailed oak paneling and bookcases, subtle materials such as laminated linen mirror columns and grass cloth walls, and carefully chosen artwork and Japanese artifacts surround comfortable furnishings to create an atmosphere of understated elegance. The “lantern” at the top of the tower contains dining and lounge spaces, acting as a lighthouse or iconic beacon symbolizing Sun City Kobe.
